Technology and Network Infrastructure Specialist

About the role
We need an individual we can rely on as a go-to person for technical implementation and support matters for Paydee’s card payment system and data centers. You’ll play an important role in ensuring that new system functions and features and/or payment terminals undergo thorough testing and certification before going live.


What you will do

  • Deploy new features and functionalities, perform post-deployment monitoring and to roll back if required.
  • Monitor system for errors, issues and ensure system performance metrics are within acceptable ranges; making sure that the system is not only up & running but also running at highest / peak performance.
  • Resolve errors & issues. Escalate problems to development team and / or vendor if needed.
  • Perform emergency rescue procedures in cases of system or network disruption.
  • Perform periodic assessment on the network. (e.g. penetration test, vulnerability assessment and system health check).
  • Perform integration, testing and certification with card schemes (e.g. VISA and Mastercard) for payment hosts, point of sales(POS) and other payment terminals.
  • Perform forensic analysis and investigation in the event of disaster or system disruption.
  • Perform system backup and restoration.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Computer Networking and Security)/ Cyber Security / Forensic Computing / Information Science
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience (for Executive position) or at least 3 years for (Manager position) in Information Technology / IT security or MIS, in the banking industry will be an added advantage.

Essential skills
  • Technical knowledge and experience in penetration testing on web and mobile applications, operating systems and cloud computing-based systems.
  • Good knowledge of intrusion detection and prevention technologies, firewall management, rule creation and security evaluation.
  • Good understanding of operating system hardening, vulnerability assessments and technical security compliance evaluation.
  • Scripting and monitoring batch jobs.

About the role
We’re building a new agile product team to launch great payment solutions products and we need determined, go-getter individuals to join the fold. You'll be a vital part of the payment system backend, ensuring that it keeps on validating and processing every single transaction and task without fail. What you will do

  • Advocate solid yet flexible design and coding principles on immutable architecture.
  • Architect, design and code the backend system. Your input will be important during the design process and at the round table when pitching in your ideas.
  • Be a solid and strict client-server designer; secure, authorise & abstract the ‘front door’ to anything in the backend (resources etc.).
  • Be familiar with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway and Cognito, or at least be willing to venture into cloud architecture.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Essential skills
  • Experienced in Java programming; you live and breathe Java.
  • Able to build, deploy and maintain microservices or serverless architecture (i.e. AWS Lambda) in the cloud, or have an affinity towards exploring cloud services.

About the role
We need a take-charge individual to serve as the lead point of contact for all Master Merchants in commercial discussions and relationship management. You will help to identify new opportunities, develop growth strategies and recommendations for Paydee to expand its market share and achieve its overall profitability objectives.

  • Manage relationships with Master Merchants and ensure continuous support from the Master Merchants on new projects.

What you will do

  • Capture the big picture from stakeholders; sweat out the small details from the cross-functional team.
  • Lead the tech team through the process of designing and solutioning with the aim of creating great products that will delight users.
  • Be the mediator of technical decisions when team consensus isn’t clear or a tie needs to be broken.
  • Speak in both tech and business languages; translate between the two for different stakeholders and teams.
  • Break down complex product requirements into defined user stories and requirements. Communicate major tech decisions and get approval from stakeholders.

About the role
We’re looking for passionate individuals to play a pivotal role in managing partnerships with our customers to find the right purchasing card products for their fleet needs. You’ll be based out in the field and be responsible growing Paydee’s business value by cultivating partnership relations and driving new business development in the prime area of Malaysia’s payment card market.

  • Understand customers’ immediate / long term needs, business models, fleet needs, challenges and opportunities.
  • Tailor offers and services to capture business and longer-term partnerships.
  • Conduct value-led negotiations through in-depth understanding of our customer value propositions.
  • Build and utilise knowledge of market development and competitor offerings, strengths and weaknesses, to create growth opportunities.
  • Define and regularly review relevant customer relationship, behavioural and differentiated services banding and customer sales & marketing plan – for new and existing customers.
  • Consistently apply sales standards especially in utilising best-in-class structure for call / journey plan, calendar management, account plan and maximize customer facing time.
  • As this role is field based, this role requires regular travel in order to visit customers.
